Hello there!

Allow me to brush the dirt off my palms and introduce myself. I’m Madeline, a garden designer practicing in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

I fell in love with gardening because it brings together everything I love: problem-solving, learning, creativity, the satisfaction of hard work, and living life in sync with nature's rhythm. Prior to starting my garden design business, I worked as field manager at a local flower farm, and oversaw professional flower trials for Penn State.

With Madeline Quigley Garden Design, I create personalized landscape designs and planting plans, guiding your project from design to dig. I utilize my hands-on experience gardening in Western Pennsylvania, as well as my background studying English garden design. If that sounds like a unique combination, keep reading!

After graduating from the Master Gardener program at Penn State University, I moved to England to study garden design, graduating with distinction from the Professional Garden Design program at the Cotswold Gardening School in Gloucestershire.

While living in England, I worked at the Chelsea Flower Show, hauled gardening tools onto the London Tube, designed gardens for 1,000-year-old manor houses, had my gloves stolen by mischievous neighborhood foxes, braved seemingly endless train strikes to visit gardens, and, of course, learned to make an excellent cup of tea.

Back in my hometown of Pittsburgh, I use my horticulture and design experience to craft outdoor spaces that are customized to your preferences, needs, and lifestyle.

Let’s make your dream garden a reality!

Xx - Madeline
